Green Waste Program
We our please to continue offering Green Waste Collection. Last year we diverted 205 tons from the waste stream. The Green waste was used to make compost. Approximately 60 tons of the Green Waste collected, almost 30%, consisted of garbage that was not green waste. Everything from lawn tools to TV remotes were thrown away as green waste. Remember your TRASH goes in the GREEN CAN and your GREEN WASTE goes in the BROWN CAN. We need everyone’s support and cooperation to make this program work. Please remind all of your family members that only biodegradable organic yard waste should be thrown into your BROWN CAN.
